Students are referred to our program from over 25 schools in Surrey and New Westminster. Referrals are made by school counselors, teachers, administrators, youth workers, or other social service agencies. Students come from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds and are accepted into the program based on existing hardship. Some students have physical or developmental disabilities. Some are living on their own, and working multiple jobs before and after school to support themselves. Many are caring for children of their own, younger siblings, or parents with chronic or acute illnesses.
