But, there will be some major changes this year, due to Covid-19 and provincial health restrictions.
We are pleased to announce that we will still be able to assist grads in need this year, albeit in a limited manner.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to hold our event in the beautiful Atrium at Surrey City Hall this year. Nor will we be able to offer hair styling, make up application, photos, or a buffet. But students will still be able to choose a complete outfit – either a gown or a suit, shoes, jewelry, and accessories – all to keep, and all for free.
This year, we will be hosting our event at our warehouse space on Bridgeway Street in Vancouver. The event will occur over three days – Friday, April 9, Saturday, April 10, and Sunday, April 11. Students will be given set appointment times and will be allowed one hour to choose their outfits. This way, we can control the number of people on site at any given time. We will adhere to other safety protocols as well – masks must be worn, participants and staff must stay 2 meters apart at all times, and high-frequency touch points will be regularly sanitized.
We know that this year will not offer the indulgence and pampering that are normally a part of our Boutique Days, but we are grateful that we are still able to assist those students in need.
If you know a student you would like to refer, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org before the referral deadline of February 26, 2021.
