You Wear It Well…Just for Grads is a Registered Canadian Charity run entirely by volunteers. Every dollar raised goes directly towards helping students at risk. For these students, being able to attend their graduation ceremony motivates them to stay in school. You Wear it Well provides so much more than “just a grad outfit” – we provide support and encouragement that inspires students to stay in school and graduate.

Our project started from humble beginnings. In 2009, a group of women in New Westminster, BC, heard about a similar project in Vancouver and realized that there must be a comparable need in New Westminster. They started by assisting grads at the local high school, and then grew to include students at alternate schools in the area.  In 2016, You Wear it Well expanded into the Surrey School District, after a similar organization (“The Princess Project”) closed.  In 2019, we further expanded to include the Delta School District.  We now support approximately 200-250 at risk youth in these areas.
