Students are referred to our program from over 25 schools in Surrey and New Westminster. Referrals are made by school counselors, teachers, administrators, youth workers, or other social service agencies. Students come from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and often face multiple barriers to success: poverty, mood disorders or mental illness, addictions problems, low self esteem, family conflict, medical issues, learning problems, and trauma. We assist between 100 – 200 students per year, and provide so much more than ‘just a grad dress’ – most students who attend our program are more motivated to stay in school and complete their high school education.
